I’m Jackie - a UX Researcher based in Seattle

I’m a UX Researcher with a background in the social sciences, with a deep curiosity for uncovering what people need. I prioritize storytelling throughout the research process - from design to presentation, I believe communicating the ‘why’ behind the research is key to getting buy-in.

At Instrument, I lead research initiatives that range from protecting children’s online safety to developing design principles for consumer-facing AI tools.

Coupled with full-time work, I’m also pursuing a Masters in Human-Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!) My graduate work explores advanced UX methods, systems thinking, and research methods and ethics, and actively sharpens the way I approach complex challenges today.
